Columbia, SC—Following the past 12 months’ success in avoiding Atlantic Coast exploration and drilling for oil and gas, the Business Alliance for Protecting the Atlantic Coast (BAPAC) is expanding its reach.

“With the new administration and Congress will come stronger efforts to allow offshore exploration and drilling for oil and gas,” said Frank Knapp Jr., co-founder of BAPAC and president/CEO of the South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce (SCSBCC). “We are continuing to sign-on more business owners and business organizations to prepare for the battles to come.”

BAPAC and SCSBCC are promoting a sign-on form for new supporters (http://bit.ly/2lmHNiK).

“Very recent massive whale strandings in New Zealand have again pointed to the dangers of seismic testing,” said Knapp. “Our elected leaders must hear the business opposition to offshore exploration and drilling loud and clear.”
